Born 15 June 1856, Llowes, Radnorshire. 3 apps in 1880/1 (of 14 matches played). Won his only Welsh cap in first team to represent Wales vs England, 19 Feb 1881. Played also for Oxford and Cambridge Univs and RMC Sandhurst. Retired in 1890 at age 34. At outbreak of WW1 he rejoined army at age of 58 and became a Lieut-Colonel in 12th Battalion of the Royal Fusilers. Killed in action at Loos on 27th Sept 1915 aged 59.
