Born Cardigan 29 Oct 1951. Played for Cardiff and Cardiff TC. Played 3 tests for British Lions in NZ while uncapped and made 12 apps in total for Lions.. Joined Newport in 1977/8 from Cardiff where he understudied Gareth Edwards. Debut for Newport United 3rd Dec 1977 vs Bristol Utd (W23-21) and then chosen for Wales B vs France B on 11th Dec 1977 in Nantes. Scored his 1st try at Bridgend in Feb 1978 in his 6th game for Newport. Won 1st cap in Australia in 1978. Won 2 further caps while with Swansea. 30 apps / 4 t / 1dg. Barbarian vs 1978 NZ. Eventually re-joined Cardiff as No 2 to Terry Holmes.
