Born 11 Jan 1933 Cwmcarn. Joined from Newbridge in 1955 and played 285 times for Newport in 1955-1963 missing few matches and scoring 8t. Averaged 32-38 matches for 8 seasons. Won 1 cap Feb 1962 vs Scotland. One of proudest moments was 0-3 L (SA). Des said ? moral victory?. Came out of retirement to help Abercarn for a season. Barbarian. Miner
