Born 16th Nov 1932, Pontardulais. Joined from Aberavon in 1953/4. (Aberavon wanted him to play outside half to Cliff Ashton who later won caps at outside half while Brace won his at scrum half !). Debut on 31st Oct 1953 vs Plymouth at RP (W22-3) replacing John Thomas scrum half who was seriously injured vs Wasps the week before. Played last game 1956/7. Left for Oxford Univ, RAF and eventually joined Llanelli (capt 1959/60). Played 9 times for Wales 1956-1961. Welsh Schools Middle 100 yd hurdle champion 1950.
