Played for St Lukes (captain), Cross Keys and Newbridge. Played for Newport RFC 1974-75 to 1977-78 making his debut at Gloucester 9th April 1975 (Lost 15 v 14). Played for Wales vs I, F, 1977 & E, S, I, F, (Grand Slam) Australia, New Zealand, 1978 and British Lions (New Zealand 1977) before leaving to join Pontypool. Played in Newport's winning Welsh Cup Final team vs Cardiff in 1977 and losing team 1978 vs Swansea.
