Born Panteg 10 Nov 1976. Played rugby for District U11?s with fellow Newport player Dale Burn. Played his schoolboy rugby at Llantarnam Comp and in 1995 at 6ft 4in & 14st 4lb was selected for Welsh Youth U18. Later played for Wales U19 and Wales A, as well as Irish Exiles and Ireland U21 - qualified via Irish grandfather. Newport debut May 11th 1996 as rep for Alan Carter - last and record 701st app for David Waters ? so played last 10 mins on field with Muddy. M Khan Cup 1994/5. Boucher Award (most promising player) AND also Players? player in 1996/7. Turned down ?90,000 offer to join London club in 1997. Also played for Toronto Nomads. Left to join Pontypridd in 1998/9 after Newport relegated to 1st Div (did not happen because Cardiff and Swansea defected to play friendlies in England). Returned to Newport in 2000/1. Made debut for Wales vs SA 1998. 1995/6 to 1997/8: 68 apps / 6t (30pts). Total 1996-2003: 139 app / 7t. NGD 2003/4. Joined Ospreys 2007/8.
