Educated Northwood High School, Durban. Played for Natal Sharks, Western Stormers, Western Province, Wales A. Gained 8 Welsh caps 2002-03 scoring 1 try.

Played for Newport RFC 1999-2000 to 2002-03. Played in winning cup final 2001 vs Neath. Newport Gwent Dragons captain 2003-04. Chief Executive Rodney Parade Ltd 2004-05.

Favourite moments: Super 10 Currie Cup Final and Super 12 Semi Final. Nickname: The Greek.

Returned to South Africa 2005. Appointed to management of South Africa Rugby Union, Acting Managing Director of SA Rugby (Pty) Ltd. in 2009.
