Treherbert,   01 April 1923
In 1923 Treherbert played Newport in the Final of the old South Wales and Monmouthshire Knock-out Cup at Rodney Parade (precise date not known). Treherbert scored a try to Newport's drop goal but lost under the then scoring system. The Treherbert side that day fielded W. H. Evans (Wales), Stan Davies (Wales), George Thomas (Wales Reserve), W. "Banky" Jones (Wales Reserve), Tommy Evans, Nick Colwille and Tom "Staley" Williams (Wales trialist).
