"Club News"
"TO-NIGHT we conclude our programme of home games and who could we wish for better than the long anticipated visit of Newport to the County Ground. Our supporters are in for a very fine game this evening and we do extend a hearty welcome to the Newport Committee, Officials and Players who have been spending a long week-end in Devon, we wish to extend to them our hearty congratulations on their successful season and there is no doubt they are the best side in the British Isles. They beat us fairly easy last season but our boys voted it the best game they had."
"As these are my final notes for this season I wish to thank all members and supporters for their support during a very cold and depressing winter and I hope my little effort to bring you some of the best sides in the British Isles has given pleasure to you all. To Jack Harrison and his boys I say "thank you" once again, the spirit in the side has been an outstanding point this season and a more loyal band of players could not be found anywhere."
"Cheerio until next September when we open with a tour in Cornwall."

"We extend a hearty welcome to our friends from Newport and congratulate them on their wonderful record. We have been eagerly awaiting this match and the " Grand Rugger " it produces. May we have another good game to-day - no matter what the result."
"At the end of this match we close down our home fixtures for another Season, so we say " Au Revoir" until September In doing so we say "Thank You" to our Parent body and to all others who have assisted us in any way during the Season and especially do we say to our "Ladies Tea ommittee" for the grand job they have done in the preparation and provision of Teas to our own and visiting teams. They and we take pride in what has been accomplished in this way, and the many friendships cemented between our own and visiting Clubs. These arrangements have been in the charge of Mrs I. Madge who has been ably assisted by Mesdames A. Brown, B. Brown, A. Lamzed and M. M. Gliddon."
