From the match proigramme, it should be noted that the same text served for match programmes for all the Easter holiday games:-
"OUR HOLIDAY VISITORS"
"We are indebted to Newport Football Committee for providing us with a feast of football during the holidays. To-day we welcome Blackheath, the most famous club side in the four countries. Old followers of the game refer to many brilliant games played by Blackheath and by Newport, when the sides have been opposed - and this is the 59th game - but it will suffice here to say we welcome the London Club always (we rejoice to visit them also) because o£ the high standard of play which always results. And it is remarkable to find that we have won the honours of the game on 45 occasions and drawn five times !"
"EASTER MONDAY ATTRACTION"
"Cross Keys are much younger rivals, and make their fourth Easter Monday appearance. In recent years they have thoroughly merited their inclusion in the "first flight" of Welsh Clubs, and though they are not quite the power of a season or two ago, they are capable of giving the Newport players a very hard game. This season they have lost only five games; this is not surprising when we reflect that they have a pack of great strength and skill, and backs of more than average ability. We look to them to give us a bright, fast, open game."
"BARBARIANS ON EASTER TUESDAY"
"The Barbarians are renowned holiday visitors. Usually they set themselves a stiff Welsh programme, and often we have not seen the best of them at Newport at the end of their tour. But, judging from the array of talent chosen to journey into Wales this year, they should be able to field a very powerful side under any circumstances. Once only in 23 games have they secured the spoils - and that was 21 years ago - but everything points to this being one of the outstanding games of the holiday."
"Look for your programme number in each of the Holiday programmes. Prizes will be given in each issue and winning numbers given by visiting captain."
